Cold beer, friendly service, tons of room and surprisingly tasty food with a great menu selection. When you're in the greater Nashville/Centralia area and your looking for a great place to stop for lunch or dinner, check out Kretzer's
What a great afternoon! The staff, especially our server, Alicia, made our birthday celebration special. Fourteen of our family members met, traveling about 75 miles from all different directions. First, the ambience was laid back, more like a Sunday dinner at grandma's. Alicia took our orders expertly, making great suggestions. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Our food arrived and was devoured. Even our 2 8-year-olds gobbled down their shrimp, fries, and onion rings. We brought in a cake from the birthday girl's favorite bakery and Alicia swiftly made sure we had everything we needed to share it ... and produced steaming mugs of coffee to enjoy with it. More on the food ... we had a variety including the all-you-can-eat crab legs (didn't need butter they were so good), outstanding fried chicken, shrimp, and a wonderful salad bar with a huge selection of fresh temptations. If you haven't tried Kretzer's, you have not lived!
We drove 1 hour from St. Louis, for all you can eat crab legs and were not disappointed. We arrived right around 5:00 pm and were sat right away, but by the time we left at 6:30 pm, it was PACKED! My daughter and her 2 friends each got the crab legs with 2 sides, which cost 45.00, not bad! I got salad bar and naked chicken wings with homemade ranch and WOW! Our server, Kelsey, was very helpful and friendly and kept the crabs coming. I tried one crab leg, and the flavor was so delicious, no butter needed. The salad bar was clean and had many options. The ambiance is that of a bar and grill, but the restaurant side is separate from the bar. It was very clean and didn't get loud at all, even with how busy it got. There was a wait when we left.
This place is awesome. Food perfect. And an awesome, and I do mean awesome salad bar. Been here twice now and will go back. All you can eat items like crab legs are offered and the menu is varied and delicious. Try this place out if in Hoyleton Illinois. You will not leave hungry or disappointed.
Fast service and food was fresh and good. Will return again with family. However the drive is about an hour from Florissant
The Alaskan King crab was excellent well flavored and fresh. We'll be back for sure. Great service too.
WOW... Love this place.. I thought I would never find a place for all you can eat crab legs again since COVID. This place is legit. Amazing crab legs and they are not at all stingy with refills. I have a record to keep up and beat it with the number of clusters I can finish.. My old record 12 and now it's 15. These legs are yummy and easy to remove. The special comes with 2 sides, and I save those for taking home.. Just keep the legs coming. The drinks are good, and our service was spot on. Great peanut barrel at front door that I missed on my first visit. It's a long hall for me so it might be once a month for a visit. Great Job Kertzer's Keep up the great work. PS you need to update your t shirts. Those are so fun!
This place defies all logic. What is a middle of nowhere grill and bar doing having an all you can eat snow crab leg special? Why are the crab legs so good? Stop asking questions, go when they're having a $45 special (you can find out through their FB page) and knock yourself out. I went for my birthday and 11 clusters of crab later I left happy and content. The service can be spotty at times but they most certainly don't start staggering your orders. The crab comes out quickly and efficiently. There's also no fee for not being able to finish crab that you've ordered, they only ask that you finish all the crab before they bring more. The only thing that's odd is that there's tables like in between the doors to the bathrooms and when the doors open you can see clearly into them. Aside from this baffling seating choice, I have nothing but good things to say about Kretzer's! Go when you get the chance!
What a great find! My husband and I are camping for a couple of days and stumbled upon this hidden small-town gem. They have amazing daily specials and all-you-can-eat crab legs daily. Most of the meals come with two sides, and that includes a salad bar if you like. The salad bar had fresh ingredients and toppings, two soups, and various pasta salads. The crab legs were so good and we couldn't believe the prices for the amount of food we received. The bartender told us people travel hours to come here and we can see why. Our bartender was friendly and took great care of us!
